Martinsecca Pears

Martinsecca pears are an old, wild pear variety with a firm flesh. Noris, founder of Primitivizia, harvests and transforms them by hand in order to preserve the taste of the wild and ancient forests of the Val Rendena, high up in the mountains of Trentino Alto Adige. Noris spends whole days in these woods, along streams and rivers, rain or shine, searching for precious herbs and fruits. The pears have a slight taste of caramel and pair virtuously with the Caciocavallo Barricato cheese.
